I am a full time corporate working wife and mommy to two of the most precious little boys ever born. Reece is 7 and Dylan (aka "Sweet Bottom") is 5. We recently added a beautiful little girl to our family. Emma Grace was born in February to make our family complete. have been married to my soul mate David for 13 amazing, crazy and sometimes turbulent years. I don't spend enough time praising him for all his hard work! He is a wonderful partner and friend and I should give him more credit than I do. I will work harder on that.
Like most mommies out there, I struggle daily with to do lists, order, organization, cleanlienss, neatness, family schedules, memory loss and the necessity to keep little boys in shoes. Who sells extra wide baby shoes anyway? My faith is mine and every day I try to remember why I am here and who, ultimately, I will have to answer to. I thank God for giving me the opportunities I have had in life and I really try not to take things for granted. So add that to my “daily struggles” list above. I will work harder on these things too!
I started Sweet Bottom Sewing Company a few years ago after discovering a new passion for creating custom personalized clothing for my first little boy. I create things because I am alive and feel the unbridled need to express myself and make pretty things. Pretty things make people happy and giving things makes me happy. Don’t we all what to be happy? Sewing and painting are more importantly stress relievers, which in my opinion, we all need to find and use. The funny thing I have found is that trying to sew pretty things is also addictive and time consuming. I find myself wanting to create more and more but don’t have the time. That is stressful! I will try to work on that.
